HOW STRESSED DO YOU GET?
1.You have signed for a delivery for a person who no longer works for your company. What do you do?
2.You have just heard that your friend at work will be made redundant before Christmas. What do you do?
A. I would ignore this information and be a professional – this could affect my job if I tell the B. I would pretend I did not know and hope they never find out C. I would drop hints and hope they get the message D. I would tell them outright because I feel pressured into telling someone I care about
3.You are about to go on holiday but you realise at the check-in desk you have forgotten your passport. What do you do?
A. I would shrug my shoulders and think ‘That’s life’ what are my options now? B. I would call home and ask if they could send the passport to me C. I would get angry and annoyed and look for someone to blame D. I would lose the plot and yell at the airline and anyone else who cared to listen
4.Your boss has told you that the company you work for is making cut backs. How do you handle this?
A. I would wait and see what happens, my job may be safe B. I would speak with my boss and ask them if they had any information to reassure me C. I would contact every agency out there – there is no way they are letting me go first! D. I would burst into tears with emotion because this is all I need
5.You are just about to move into your new home but find out on the day of moving the landlord is not ready and you will be homeless because you have to leave your old place. What do you do?
A. I would find out what the problem is and try and find the quickest solution B. I would speak with everyone concerned and also find a bed for the night C. I would get angry and emotional because someone needs to pay for this mistake D. I would fall apart but where will I and my belongings end up tonight?
6.You have to give a speech at work to the rest of the company. How do you handle this?
A. I feel that this is a great opportunity and cannot wait to show off my presentation skills B. I would be nervous but would tackle this head on and hope I do a good job C. I would feel sick and embarrassed and just want to run and hide D. I would call in sick and leave the presentation to someone else
7You have arrived for an interview and really want this job, but you are ill- prepared and twenty minutes late. What do you do?
A. I would apologise profusely and do my best to get things back on track B. I would explain myself and hope the interviewer would see I am genuine C. I would blame my lateness on a large elephant blocking the road and aliens stole my directions – I am too much of a coward to face up to my mistake

A. I would tell them to stop and threaten to report them B. I would make a diary of everything that happened and then take this to senior management C. I would not tell anyone and hope the problem would go away D. I would breakdown and fear going into work because I need the money
10.You are about to get married but are not too keen on your new in-laws. How would you handle this?
11.You are about to emigrate but your medical has come back with health issues. How would you handle this?
A. I would find out what can be done and go to the source of the problem to investigate what was reported B. I would speak with all the parties to reach a win-win situation – maybe a compromise can be made C. I would be disheartened because I thought I was fit and strong D. I would be distraught by the news – I have to get away and this is all I can think about
12.You have received bad news about exam results. How do you handle this?
A. I would think ok, let’s get on with passing and find out what I can do to achieve this B. I would be upset but would pick myself up and improve myself to pass next time round C. I would be annoyed with myself and think about trying again half heartedly D. I would not bother and think what’s the point, I cannot get his upset again
13.There is an insect on your duvet and you are just about to fall asleep. What do you do?
A. I would calmly get out of the bed and think about removing it – but I would not want to harm it B. I would call a friend or relative and ask them to remove and get back into bed and sleep C. I would stare at it for twenty minutes thinking of the giant queen insect that will eat me in the sleep D. I would freak out and call 999 – surely this is an emergency – then I would move home so this can never happen again!
14.You have broken down in your car and do not know the area. It is getting dark and you also have no charge left on your mobile. How do you handle this?
A. I would assess the area and find a shop that is open and ask to use the phone B. I would find the nearest phone box and ask for help or call the breakdown services C. I would panic and lock the doors and wait for dawn to arrive D. I would totally lose the plot and think of every scary movie I have ever watched
15.You have been the victim of bank fraud and someone has taken money out of your account and left you with nothing. How do you handle this?
A. I would negotiate with the bank and find out the whole story B. I would get upset and demand an explanation from someone in the know C. I would accuse the bank of not having tighter security on accounts D. I would be devastated and make a scene because I need my money and someone needs to pay for this error
